Limits & supported formats
Input: 1 file · GIF · up to 20 MiB.
Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.
PNG sheet output: up to 8,192 px per side and 16,777,216 pixels in the complete sheet.
Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.

Six animation frames arranged in a three-column PNG sheet, ready for a sprite-based animation.

Arrange frames for a game or interface
Put every GIF frame into a single transparent PNG grid. Choose columns to control the shape of the sheet and add a gap if your renderer needs spacing. Download the optional JSON for frame positions and playback delays. The sheet itself is a still image, not an animation.
Choosing your settings
PNG retains decoded colors and transparency. JSON describes positions, loop information and normalized frame delays; your application must use it to animate the sheet.
If the result needs another pass
Balance rows and columns if the PNG exceeds a side limit. If the total area is too large, resize or trim first; rearranging columns cannot reduce the total number of pixels.
GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.
Good to know
What is in the JSON?
The canvas size, loop value and each zero-based frame index, X/Y position, width, height and delay in milliseconds.
