Limits & supported formats

Input: 1 file · GIF · up to 20 MiB.

Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.

Output: up to 2,048 px per side, 4,194,304 pixels per frame and 400 frames.

Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.

Turn animation into individual pictures

Save one useful moment as a transparent PNG or a JPG with a filled background, or export every frame in order as a ZIP. A single-frame download does not wait for all-frame packaging. Move the frame slider to choose the still image. Each output is a complete picture, even when the GIF only stores small changes between frames.

Choosing your settings

PNG preserves the decoded frame colors and transparency. Still PNGs do not carry animation timing or looping; use a sprite sheet with JSON if those values are needed.

If the result needs another pass

If the ZIP exceeds its budget, trim or resize first. For a single illustration, download only the selected PNG.

GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.

Good to know

Are the PNGs complete images?

Yes. Every PNG includes the full visible frame, with transparent areas where applicable.

Does the ZIP include every frame?

It includes all decoded input frames in their original order. Export is limited by the total ZIP budget.
